Donations & Political Appointments

Alongside recurring membership tiers, DPS Politics tracks two related but distinct things.

Donations

A donation is a one-off contribution — either to the platform generally or to a specific party's treasury (see Party Treasury & War Chest Operations). Donations to a party count toward that party's funds and can earn you Party Donor status.

Lifetime spend

Every payment you make, subscription or one-off, is tallied to your lifetime spend total. Crossing certain lifetime thresholds is what automatically grants Life Peerage — there's no separate "buy Life Peerage" button; it's earned through cumulative support.

Political appointments

A political appointment is the underlying record of holding an in-game office (Member of Parliament or Member of the Lords). Winning a seat contest creates an MP appointment; this is the game condition the matching membership tier checks for before letting you subscribe to it.
